Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal data RideGlobus keeps when you search, book and sign in, why, for how long, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we keep
When you book: the names, e-mail address, phone number and country you give us, the billing address, the driver’s age, flight numbers for transfers and anything you write in the notes.
When you pay: only what the payment provider tells us back — the card type, its last four digits, the amount and the provider’s reference. Your card number and security code are typed on the provider’s own secure page and never reach our servers.
When you book or sign in: the IP address, the approximate place it belongs to (country, region, city), the kind of device, its operating system, the browser, the browser’s language and the device’s language and time zone. We keep these to protect accounts and bookings from fraud.
If you create an account: your name, e-mail address, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself) and the record of your sign-ins.
Why we use it
To make your booking with the rental company or transfer operator and to send you the confirmation and any changes (our contract with you).
To keep accounts, bookings and payments safe and to find fraud (our legitimate interest), and to keep the accounting records the law asks for (a legal obligation).
We don’t send marketing e-mails, and we don’t use your data for advertising.
Who sees it
The company that provides your car or transfer receives the details it needs to serve you.
The payment provider that takes your payment, and the services that run the site for us — hosting and databases, e-mail delivery and file storage — each only as far as their job needs and under a contract with us. We never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Bookings and payment records: as long as accounting and tax law requires (up to ten years). Sign-in and device records: one year. An account: until you delete it.
Your rights
Signed in, you can download a copy of your data and delete your account yourself, under My bookings. You can also ask us to correct your data, restrict or object to how we use it, or complain to your data protection authority. Write to [email protected].
